Time monitoring
PocketHub worked by transforming your computer into a personal information hub which could be accessed and controlled remotely by any internet enabled mobile device such as a mobile phone, PDA or another computer.
Install PocketHub on the PC you want to access. Your phone or PDA could then control it over the wireless internet – WAP, GPRS, bluetooth (if you have broadband) – or by dialing up to your PC. PocketHub securely authenticates you and then serves up all your files and information, from your Hub in real-time.
PocketHub worked with the software you currently have, so you don’t have to move email accounts or sign-up for on-line services. PocketHub configures your mobile device automatically with SMS messages (*most devices). PocketHub required either a phone-line connection to the Internet (shared is okay if you use a Caller-ID modem) or a permanent (broadband) connection.
It was compatible with most firewalls and NAT installations. Your computer must be on, and if it is in standby mode it must be enabled with “wake-on-LAN/ring”.
